Background
----------

AIRLIFE is the Emergency Medical Transport Service of the HealthONE system of hospitals, clinics and healthcare plazas, providing national emergency air and ground medical transport for patients, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. AIRLIFE is one of the largest and busiest air medical transport programs in a five state region: Colorado, Kansas, Wyoming, Nebraska and Montana.

AIRLIFE utilizes two Bell 407 helicopters within a 150 mile radius of metro Denver. These faster, quieter helicopters also have increased performance capabilities in Denver's high altitude and were the first in the U. S. to be medically equipped including state-of-the-art systems for ease of patient loading and unloading. In addition to the helicopter transport, AIRLIFE utilizes two Learjet aircraft for those occasions when patient transportation is needed outside the helicopter radius or when weather prohibits helicopter transport. Critical care ground transport is provided by either of two specially designed AIRLIFE ambulances.

Repaint Notes
-------------
This is my third attempt at repainting Ian Stanford's Bell 206L Long Ranger for use with MS FS 2k2. My first two projects were the Arizona DPS Air Rescue helicopter livery and the Petrolium Helicopters Incorporated (PHI) livery, both available on www.simviation.com. I have enjoyed receiving all of the positive feedback comments, from those who downloaded the first two repaints, and because of this, I have ventured out again looking for my next project. This project, like my last one, was inspired while flying around a scenery addon. I was using the popular "Colorado" scenery addon created by the talanted Charlie Young, and I decided that I now needed a realistic Colorado helicopter to compliment all of that great Colorado mountains add-on scenery. Thus, I decided on this latest creation -- the Air Methods' "Air Life" version of the Bell 206L. The actual Air Life helicopter is a Bell 407 based in Aurora, Colorado, a suburb of Denver. But the paint scheme is authentic.

I would once again like to thank Ian Stanfast, the original Bel 206L creator, for designing and posting such a professionally completed flight sim aircraft for all of us to enjoy, and more specifically, I want to thank him for allowing me to repaint this aircraft and share it with the sim-aviation public. Also, thanks should go out to Manuel Gonzalez for updating Ian's Bell-206L for use in Microsoft's Flight Sim 2002.
